Mandolin: Here is a fantastic Manolin made by Epiphone. A Mandolin (Italian: mandolino) is a musical instrument in the lute family (plucked, or strummed) usually with four courses of strings, which are tuned in perfect fifths while the strings in a course are tuned in unison, and plucked with a plectrum. It is the soprano member of a family that includes the mandola, octave mandolin, mandocello and mandobass. It descends from the mandore. David Gilmour, John Paul Jones, Peter Buck, Levon Helm, Vince Gill, Sam Bush, David Grisman, Chris Thile, Frank Wakefield and Bill Monroe all played the Mandolin.
